Is bgcutter really free?
Yes! The core background removal feature is 100% free with unlimited usage. You don't even need to create an account. Free exports include a small watermark and are limited to standard web resolution (1 Megapixel).
What do I get with the Pro license?
The Pro license is a one-time $9 payment that unlocks full-HD original resolution exports, completely removes the watermark, enables batch processing (up to 20 images at once), unlocks premium editing features like drop shadows, and saves your cutout history for 30 days.
Are my images private and secure?
Absolutely. We built bgcutter with a privacy-first approach. For free users, the AI model runs locally in your web browser. Your images never leave your device and are not uploaded to any servers. For Pro users, images are securely saved to your private dashboard for 30 days and then permanently deleted.
Do you offer subscriptions?
No! We hate monthly subscriptions just as much as you do. The Pro license is a single, lifetime payment of $9.
What devices and browsers are supported?
bgcutter works on any modern web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on desktop, tablet, and mobile. Since the AI runs on your device, newer devices will process images much faster.
